Brian Brodersen UK provides information about what’s happening with the ministry here in the UK. You can listen and download Bible studies, subscribe to our Podcast, purchase books and resources, and stay connected to the ministry.
Brian was born and raised in Southern California. He became a Christian at age 22 and began attending Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, pastored by Chuck Smith. He met his wife, Cheryl, the youngest daughter of Pastor Chuck and Kay Smith, at one of the church’s home group meetings. They were married on 23 May 1980.
Brian spent the next 16 years doing pastoral ministry in Southern California and church planting throughout the US, Eastern Europe, and the former Soviet Union.
In 1996 the Brodersen family moved to London, England, to plant Calvary Chapel Westminster. They lived in south west London until 2000 when Brian returned to California to assist Pastor Chuck Smith at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa and to eventually assume the role of senior pastor.
Today he serves as the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Brian is also the president of Calvary Chapel Bible College, the Calvary Global Network, and he is the Festival Director of Creation Fest UK.
Since leaving the UK in 2000, Brian has remained extensively involved in ministry here in Britain. From broadcasting his teaching programme, “Back to Basics”, on Premier Radio, to directing Creation Fest UK in both England and Scotland, to speaking at conferences and teaching at Calvary Chapel Bible College in York, Brian is committed to doing all he can to help in the work of the kingdom throughout the UK.
Brian believes that a strong foundation in the Word of God is the key to healthy, vibrant, and reproductive churches. With that conviction he continues to encourage and assist in church planting and also in inspiring existing churches to build on the sure foundation of the Word and the Spirit.
He and Cheryl consider the UK to be their second home and are always delighted to spend as much time as possible with dear friends and co-workers all around the country.
